MEMBERSHIP

KABHE is an organization that is open to any person interested in promoting the purpose of the organization. It is comprised of over 150 diverse faculty and staff representing all of the 8 comprehensive institutions, KCTCS, state educational agencies, and private colleges. KABHE is divided into four regions: Southeast, Southwest, Northeast, and Northwest.

Why JOIN ?

KABHE serves as an excellent resource that can provide opportunities for members to articulate educational opportunities and issues for blacks in higher education as well as providing networking among individuals, institutions, groups, and organizations throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Membership in KABHE provides an opportunity to network with professional colleagues at other institutions.

The membership directory, regional workshops, and annual conference permits members to communicate with each other throughout the year.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Professional development of faculty and staff will be enhanced through the accessing of resources and the development of opportunities relative to their need for collaborative and research based activities.

You can assist in the development of relative research and grant related projects, and provide mentoring and motivation support needed for advancement to students and other professional colleagues.

RESOURCES

KABHE serves as a resource and a support system for its members. Members obtain information that is pertinent to minority and equity issues in higher education in Kentucky. KABHE Addresses equity issues through collaboration with other interest groups.
